USAF-Air Force DD214

In most cases we can provide you with Official Copies of your United States Air Force DD214 within 7 business days. If you choose our Express Service the hard copies will ship via USPS First Class mail directly to the physical address you provided when you ordered. If you select our Priority Express Service, you will receive an encrypted file containing a digital copy of your DD214 within 7 business days, and the hard copies will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail to the address you provided when you ordered.

There are a few exceptions to the 7 business day turnaround. Air National Guard (ANG) records are not archived in the same way as Regular Air Force Records. They can take longer to access. Pre-1970 USAF DD214’s are located by reference to the service member’s Air Force Serial Number (dog-tag number). If you do not have this number, the process will be slowed down while we search for the Serial Number as a preliminary step. If you have a common name, the serial number search can be challenging.

Many USAF personnel files for service between 1915 and 1964 were damaged or destroyed in the 1973 fire at the National Archives storage facility in St. Louis, Missouri. These records can be considerably slower to access, and in some cases, if the entire Military Personnel File was destroyed, they can be impossible to expedite. If this is the case, we will process a full refund, minus our search fee. For more information on the 1973 fire, you can check out the entry on our FAQ page.

The Air Force began digitizing military personnel files in 2004. If you served in the USAF after 2004, you may have a digital DD214. These take longer to access than a traditional, paper copy of the DD Form 214. Digital copies can usually be accessed within 14-21 business days.
